Winter Days/ Fuyu No Hi

In this short animation I became aware of the sound of leaves that was consistent throughout the short. Sounds of a woodpecker pecking and the tweets of birds sound as if they go in and out of the space in the way that they sound close and loud and then fade out of audio. Diegetic sounds of the character in blue moving always sound like the crunching of leaves. For a brief moment of the two characters being together the music from the opening plays. When the character in blue drops his hat the sound of wind picks up and there is a displaced reverberating gong sound that doesn't appear to have a source. Its a very surreal sound that I as the audience can't pinpoint the source of or reason for its ringing.
