In both readings this week I found the discussion on the use of shots to invoke mood and meaning very helpful in the way I have viewed movies and film moving forward as well as inform the way I have approached storyboarding this week. The use of shot composition and object placement is now a process I view very much as a deliberate act that requires just as much if not more consideration than the story. Composition and object placement directly affect the meaning  as well as should be guided by the overarching themes and moods of a film. I found it helpful that the book contrasted shots to show the clear change in mood.
